Death Be Thy Name - Week 5 Development Blog

Once again the main quantity of my contribution to the project this week was the creation of environmental assets. I created a CRT Monitor (With textures) which will be placed in the final room for the warehouse level and an industrial ladder (With textures) that can be repeated throughout the entire map.



Furthermore, the community session in which covered playtesting structures and methods were helpful in improving my knowledge in not only how to moderate a successful playtest in order to gain the best feedback possible but it also helped in the not typical aspect based on the fact that I feel it encouraged the entire team to step it up in regards to production based on the fact that we didn't really have a playable game available that would display the game concept and basic mechanics.


On reflection I feel that my output for this week is poor and is something that I should aim to improve on next week. By setting a goal to create a main player character model and by modelling and rendering a concept art / a potential cinematic scene for the game I feel like I am setting a relatively large task based on the substance of assets that would need to be created.
