Throughout Torment the player must explore their mind and find artifacts in order to escape the never-ending nightmare. Search the land for artefacts in order to wake up, but beware the Monster amidst the fog...

Torment was created in a week as part of the 2024 ACM Games Academy New year Games Jam. This competition was open to both students and members of the public. The provided brief given was "A Balancing Nightmare". 

I acted as the Project lead & Lead Designer for this project developing the gameplay concept and what the overall project should achieve by the deadline.

  • Designed and Developed the original game idea.

    • Pitched to the team.

    • Gained feedback and made changes accordingly.

  • Articulated the collectable items and how they are linked to the narrative.​

  • Designed the UI for the game.

    • Main typography i.e. font.​

    • Main title design.

  • Designed the itch.io page.​

  • Communication between all departments.

  • Supported in the creation of art assets and implemented them into engine.
