During this week my main work focused on the following:
Finishing the class sheet section.
Adding weapon stats and voice commands sections under mechanics.
Class Sheet Section
I spent a section of this week finalising the documentation for the class system that should be created for the final game. I landed on having a total of 5 different class varieties that should offer the player a large amount of replayability based on the fact that they all represent different playstyles. These classes are as follows; Default, Heavy, Light, Stealth and Chaos.
Weapon Stats
Additionally I added a segment which outlines each weapon and the correlating stats that should be integrated. It is important to note that these values are subject to change once actually in engine and following testing.
Voice Commands
Lastly I began outlining the Unique Selling Point (USP) of my game voice commands. It is important that I established the system before integrated into the project as I would need to ensure that it is both accessible and achievable in the remaining time of development. I feel as though I was able to achieve this while keeping the overall amount of player quotes to a manageable amount and by subsequently using simple phrases it would make players less likely to get confused by the system.
Similar to last week I feel as though I was successful in completing the task that I applied for myself. I hope to continue this in the upcoming week as I feel as though I am on a good roll in regards to populating the GDD. If I can continue with this pace I believe that I could potentially be in a position in around two weeks where the majority of my GDD is written and I can begin implementing the game into Unity.
